Tracing your transported convict ancestors in Tasmania

This interactive workshop will help people discover the record collections available online that can tell us more about English convicts (concentrating on females specifically) who were transported to Tasmania. The range of websites and collections can reveal what happened to the convicts when they first arrived in Tasmania, where they were placed during their sentence, and generally build a bigger picture of their lives after leaving their home in England.
