Dispelling the myth - Irish research explained

It’s estimated that a quarter of all British people have Irish ancestry. This workshop shows people how to begin to research their Irish ancestors. It’s a common myth that Irish records were all destroyed in a fire – this session dispels that notion and explains how to use the many free websites available. Topics covered: some basic history for context, the census, civil records and religious records.
